at Columbia University Medical Center

We are a young laboratory focusing on translational research and pancreatic cancer. We are working to facilitate the clinical realization of basic science principles in order to improve the care and treatment of pancreatic cancer patients. Our PI Ken Olive is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University and a member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has a primary appointment in the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases in the Department of Medicine, and a secondary appointment in the Department of Pathology & Cell Biology.

Our goals:

  • make a meaningful, positive impact on the care of pancreatic cancer patients
  • educate and train new scientists to tackle the cancer problem
  • bridge the divide between medicine and science
  • create a fun and productive environment where lab members can enjoy the processes of learning and discovery
